Join the LGBTQ+ in the CRC Youth Network

LGBTQ2SIA+ Youth in the CRC need a safe place to connect with each other. Whether you are out or not -- if you would like to connect with others in a safe online space, we want to hear from you. You are loved here and you are safe here.

What are My Options?

Use your voice and membership in the CRC to work for change and support others -- especially those most affected. You don't need to be silent and you don't need to leave.

Support from other congregations on the journey

Are you a leader in a congregation that is navigating questions about your future with the CRC? Connect with other leaders in similar conversations here.

Write a Gravamen

Office-bearers and ordained leaders in the CRC have the option of writing a gravamen -- as a way to continue serving even if they have difficulty with our denomination's position.

Connect with Other parents of LGBTQ+ Children

Has your child come out to you? Looking for ways to love and support them effectively? Join other parents for encouragement, resources, information, and support.

Write a Letter

The opinion of every member of the CRC matters. There are ways that you can engage with your church leaders to ensure that all voices are heard.

Share Your Story

We are gathering stories from LGBTQ2A+ individuals and allies connected with the Christian Reformed Church who want to be seen and heard. Fill out the expression of interest and we will follow up with you.

Wondering what to do to learn more and engage with others in your congregation? Here are some good books to start a discussion and an inspiring example from one congregation's journey.

Create a local network

You are not alone. Other members of the CRC share a variety of concerns about what the decision of Synod 2022 means for the church family we love. Working with others to seek change is the Jesus way. It also reduces anxiety and builds hope.
